You Are Grounded is a first person post-horror game where you play as a boy trapped in a basement by your abusive alcoholic father. There's no reason to assume a game about child abuse could be fun and yet indie Spanish developer Sepia Games has managed to tackle tough subject matter with heart and sympathy while providing fun physics based puzzle gameplay too. It's a delicate balance and it's pulled off artfully. There are even multiple endings that can be hopeful or despairing depending on your choice, all contributing to a poignant message about said abuse, trauma, and feelings of revenge. I went from revulsion to catharsis after giving this one a chance so give a watch to find out why!
