The scariest month of 2022 finally yielded the first-person shooter survival horror game Scorn from Serbian developer Ebb Software, a full 8 years after the project's announcement. It bears all the characteristics of eurojank like Inner Chains by Telepaths Tree, Agony by Madmind Studio, Lust for Darkness and Lust from Beyond by Movie Games Lunarium, Tormentum - Dark Sorrow by OhNoo Games, etc: a body horror art style influenced by H.R. Giger and Zdzislaw Beksinski, bioorganic weapons and environments, and walking sim gameplay style with frequent gross puzzles.
Various Kickstarter campaigns finally got the project to the finish line and much content ended up on cutting room floor so is the final product worth the wait? Check out the review to find out and muse with me on some fan theories while you're there!
