How to Determine What is a Want Versus a Need.

Traveling the past 4 years has taught me how to determine what a want vs a need really is. Living abroad also solidified what I already knew.

Yet when I lived and worked in the US I had a need to buy everything. It was almost compulsory. I no longer feel the need to buy things out of want, I make sure I have a need for it. If it is something I want, I am aware of it, and make sure to use it.
I no longer buy things for no reason.
How about you? Have you noticed that you buy just to buy? Is this healthy?
