Pokemon Go AR+ Daily Adventure Incense with me!

This is during the Mythical Wishes Season 9 of Pokemon Go, and I am using a daily adventure incense in the AR+ mode.
I have been having some bad luck lately using the AR+ mode and everything has been running away from me, even things that are far off in the distance! It doesn’t make sense to me, but hopefully this issue will resolve itself in time, because it was frustrating seeing so many of my daily adventure incense pokemon run from me
