Tech Giants Eliminating Passwords Forever

Apple, Microsoft & Google are planning to remove the need for passwords forever with the help of the FIDO Alliance.
We all know our current password system is quite flawed.
You have to login to your accounts when you use new devices or you can get logged out which is annoying.
You have to remember tons of different passwords or use a single one which is more convenient, but also riskier.
So they are trying to make a system where you would unlock a device with Face-ID, a fingerprint or whatever.
And then you’d be automatically signed into everything, and these passwords would all sink between Apple’s, Google’s & Microsoft’s cloud services so that it would work on all of your devices.
You might or might not trust these companies with your data, but these tech giants would be needed to actually develop the needed software.
