It's Real?!? National Lampoon's Clark W Griswold House IS REAL!

One of the most fun things about Christmas time is people decorating their houses and setting up different light displays. Since the mid-80s and national Lampoon's Christmas vacation, one man has set the standard for the most ridiculous light display, that being Clark W Griswold played by Chevy Chase. While I am sure this is not the only one out there, in Mahomet, Illinois there is an homage to this movie and that house.

About 2 hours south of Chicago is the Village of Mahomet, Illinois. Located within 20 minutes of the University of Illinois, this is a fairly laid-back and low-key community. Except around Christmas. One man has taken it upon himself to set the world aglow.

This display has been going on for years, I've been driving by it for about 10 myself. They have music playing outside, normally something with the Chipmunks to tie into Alvin, Simon, in Theodore cutouts on the lawn.
