Breathe New Life into Your Old Laptop, Maybe?

In this video I decided to take a look at 4 Android flavours to find out if any of them are worthy of my Yoga 2, 11 inch Touchscreen, Tablet, Laptop. The reason I did this is because windows 10 was very slow on this thing and basically unusable on this potato pc. I thought that installing an alternative OS would breathe new life into this convertible laptop. It turned out this video was testing my patience to the core. Not only were the Android distributions fighting me the whole way, but the whole video production process was turning into a bit of a nightmare.

I was initially not going to release this video due to the many problems I encountered, *not all shown in the video*. I thought this might be a good learning experience, for not only the production process, but mistakes I made through this ordeal.

I originally had planned to review and document the following Android distributions

- Android X86 9.0 RC2
- Chrome OS Flex (Oct 2022 Release)
- Prime OS (Oct 2022 Release)

I then added BlissOS on because I was struggling. Unfortunately this didn't work out too well either. Added to the mix were various audio issues, and general slowness trying to install the OS's on a spinning rust hard disk. Instead I grabbed some of the relevant footage, and put each OS into a chart on what I found worked and what didn't. Much of the footage was lost, unusable, and or just not suitable for the public.

I also tried installing Android X86 8.x (latest) but it crashed and burned without even getting out of the gate, and thus never ended up adding the footage for that.

Eventually I settled on Android X86 9.0 RC2 and installed and SD drive. Perhaps a better idea would of been to turn this into a POP OS desktop, but I really wanted the playstore installed so that I could syncronize my apps on my other systems.

Also here is the link to the Chrome OS Flex ISO to make things easier, I found that I was not able to use the web installer app as it giving me an error and also not showing me the install button (likely because I didn't have a chromebook I guess.)
