Msta-S self-propelled artillery mount firing by crew's eyes

sta-S is 152-mm self-propelled artillery mount of the self-propelled howitzers class. Built on the basis of T-72 and T-80 tanks.

The chassis is unified with the T-80 tank, the engine and transmission system is unified with the T-72 tank. Designed to destroy tactical nuclear weapons, artillery and mortar batteries, tanks and other armored equipment, anti-tank weapons, manpower, air and missile defence systems, command posts, as well as to destroy field fortifications and hinder the maneuvers of enemy reserves in the depths of the enemy's defence.

Fire at observed and unobserved targets from closed positions and direct fire, as well as in mountainous conditions. When firing, both shots from the ammunition rack and those supplied from the ground are used, without loss in rate of fire (7-8 rds/min).
