Ivan Maslov, a soldier of the LPR’s People militia, went to the front after the Ukrainian military opened fire on his city on February 22, 2014. A few months later, due to the betrayal of a fellow soldier, he and his commander were captured. According to Maslov, the commander was poisoned by the Ukrainian military, and he himself was released during a prisoner exchange.
