Activists Target Children at Griffith Park Pony Rides Protests

A small group of animal activists continue to turn out every weekend to target the families of small children trying to enjoy the Griffith Park Pony Rides. The animals are documented to be well cared for but these people continue to lie about the business and harass its customers. Not only do they frighten the animals with their bullhorns and yelling, but they have verbally abused countless children, their families and employees. At times, even instigating fist fights.

The LA City Council has caved to the activists pressure campaign and refused to extend the lease of the Griffith Park Pony Rides. The business will be forced to shut down operations on Wednesday, December 21st. This leaves very little time for the animals to be rehomed and is likely a death sentence for some of the ponies that will likely end up at slaughter.

A hearing is scheduled for Thursday, December 15th. It is URGENT that you contact the LA City Recreation and Parks General Manager, Jimmy Kim and demand that he extend the contract for Griffith Park Pony Rides immediately.
