I'm Just Charlie: Charlie Ward

Charlie Ward was born on June 8, 1960, in Ipswich England, and was born and brought up in a religious cult called the Plymouth Brethren or some people refer to it as the Exclusive Brethren. He had an arranged marriage at the age of 18 years old and had three children by the age of 22 years old. Charlie decided to leave the cult at 23 in 1983 and he left his wife and three children behind. They only allowed him to have controlled visits for 5 years. He finally managed to persuade his former wife to come out of the cult with his children in 1988. Sadly, he realized they only had this cult-like religion in common and their marriage ended. He left the UK and moved to Spain and has remained there. He has also worked in South Africa, Thailand, Singapore, and China during the past several years. Charlie worked in the Hotel and shared ownership business for 30 years and retired from mainstream work in 2005. He now uses the contacts he’s developed over the past 40 years to run his current business moving physical currency for many governments worldwide. His wife Nursel is Turkish. He has four children: Lee (Died 2009) aged 27, Glenn, Carla, and Justin, and his grandchildren, Hugo, Alexandro, Lee, and Hartley.
