WOW a 1700s flintlock pistol found metal detecting patriot sites for colonial coins and relics? During a recent trip to Charleston, SC we visited with our friends from the low country metal detecting club. We want in search of colonial coins and relics from local patriot homes and known plantations. Did we stumble onto a military site from the American Revolution or could there have been militia activity in the area? We found something that would be on anyone's bucket list! We were also joined by Debbie Smikoski from Minelan Metal Detectors. She brought with her a Vanquish 540 for us to try in addition to our current cache of Minelab detectors including the Equinox 800 and CTX3030.
