Expanded pokemon sets is a set review series meant to cover pokemon sets that are only part of the expanded format. Since I wasn't making pokemon tcg videos during the time when they were new I'll be looking at them as part of the expanded format today but I'll also talk about thier significance in the meta during the time they were fresh.

Plasma Storm wouldn't hit its stride until the other plasma sets were released but the strongest and craziest cards from the set had hit the ground running. All the powerful and one of a kind trainers are what give this set its edge arguably even to this day. But that's not to say it didn't have some significant EX pokemon even though some of them were lackluster form the beginning.
