6G will destroy smartphones

Video transcript:
Nokia CEO believes that 6G will be available in about 8 years & that it could make smartphones obsolete.
He says that by then phones won’t be the most common interface we interact with, but rather we’ll be using tech that will be embedded in our bodies.
And says that the physical & virtual worlds will grow together, which I think hints at virtual reality & “the metaverse”.
I totally disagree with like all of this.
I could see something like smart glasses become a big smartphone competitor.
But even if the physical tech gets there, the software will take many many years to develop, you’re gonna need developers that will actually make 3d party apps & you’ll need consumers.
I semi-agree with the statements, but I think the timeline will be WAY; WAY longer than 8 years.
