Shortly after the onset of the conflict, the United States and its European allies unleashed waves of unprecedented sanctions against Moscow, which repeatedly warned that such punitive measures will certainly backfire. Russia, the world’s second largest natural gas producer, has almost cut its flow of natural gas to Europe that led to a surge in energy prices. Now, a new report warns more people are going to die in Europe due to high fuel prices in winter.
