What a Solar Superflare Might Look Like

Many stars undergo violent eruptions known as superflares. These can be many times more powerful than the typical solar flares and CMEs that we experience.

If our Sun were to have such an outburst, it would fry all electronics on Earth and send civilization back into the Stone Age. It could potentially mess with the weather on Earth as well. This is a very real threat to our technologically advanced way of life.
