Whatever it is, I don’t know if it’s worth the effort of digging out my 3ds and game but I wonder what other weird updates we’ll see after

A Mario Kart 7 Update just dropped for the 3DS

It’s the latest mystery as to why an 11 year old game has had a random update for the first time in ten years.

Here’s the weird bit, there are almost no changes in the change log, and avid players of the game can’t seem to find any differences or even bug fixes.

Theories include an online exploit, stopping people from jailbreaking their 3ds, or maybe something to do with the eshop closing next spring.
