Today’s question: Can you love someone without trusting them?

It is my belief and or opinion that you can’t trust someone you don’t love, or love someone you don’t trust. I couldn’t find anything in the bible about trust. Then again i was not looking very hard, or I just didn’t understand it when i saw it. My mother’s friend said that was wrong. She said she loved her kids when they were little, but she knew if she didn’t watch them they would get into trouble or get hurt, so she loved them, but didn’t trust them. I think that’s a good point, but still what does the bible say about this? Any thoughts?
