Welding Feet on a Christmas Star

We have a star frame that is used to hold Christmas lights. It has been sitting outside. It's too big to fit inside, and one of the problems is the two bottom points on the start dig into the ground.
We are going to weld some feet on them so they don't sink into the ground.
