SEC's Hester Pierce Doesn't Want Hasty Regulation

The SEC's Hester Pierce has recently told Decrypt that she doesn't want to see hasty regulations put in place because of the FTX collapse. Hester Pierce has been with the SEC since 2018 and says she has seen very little positvie movement for crypto regulation since she has been there. She said, adding that her optimism around the industry has more to do with her desire to change the SEC’s approach to innovative new financial products—crypto and otherwise. “It’s wanting to keep the doors open to innovation, wanting to make sure that the financial industry is not one that’s dominated by a few large firms that keeps everyone else out. Because there are a lot of people with great ideas and I think it’s great that people are challenging the way we’ve done things,” she said. Herster Pierce is a positve influence for the crypto spac e and we need more openminded thinkers like her.
