Struggling with the Earthwise GS70015 Wood Chipper (uncut)

Hopes and dreams shattered...
This chipper works great, IF you have straight branches, with no stems coming off the sides. The prep work per branch to get them to feed into the 1.5 inch x 6 inch slot in the top is simply too much for the type of brush I am dealing with.
Ended up just lighting the brush pile on fire and calling it a day.
