In this video, I discuss Ben Bernanke's recent comments on Bitcoin.

As a central banker, and as someone who denied the possibility of subprime contagion in 2007, Bernanke is not to be taken seriously as a futurist or even competent economist.

Bernanke is the father of the modern money-printing movement among central bankers, which is exactly what Satoshi was fighting against with his invention of Bitcoin.

Bernanke rolls out the same old tired arguments against Bitcoin:

You can't buy anything with it.
It's too volatile.
Its only use is ransomware.

Bernanke, as a member of the fiat ruling class, is either blinded by his monetary privilege, or understands the threat of Bitcoin, and is just attacking it for his central banker buddies.

Bernanke certainly knows the difference between an industrial commodity and a monetary good, and so I would learn towards the probability that he is just being disingenuous.
