China's Newest Mega Stadium In Chongqing | FIFA World Cup 2022 Updates

Longxing Football Stadium is located in Liangjiang New Area, Chongqing. It covers an area of about 202,000 square meters, with a total construction area of about 170,000 square meters. The lawn area is 7700 square meters. It can accommodate about 60,000 people to watch the game. It is the first professional football stadium built in Chongqing and is one of the largest professional football stadiums in China.

A retractable movable stand is designed in the stadium. When an event is held, the stand can be shrunk to build a stage of 1,400 square meters, and more than 3,000 auditorium seats can be added when watching an event.

The football field has 424 sets of field lighting fixtures, 96 sets of auditorium lighting fixtures and 24 sets of emergency lighting fixtures. Two large LED screens supporting 8K+ ultra-high-definition resolution have been installed.

The stadium has 4 floors on the ground and 1 floor below the ground. It is equipped with facilities such as a training ground and a parking lot for 2,000 cars. There are several stations on Line 4 of the CQ Rail Transit around the stadium, citizens can arrive easily by car or by rail transit.

On April 24, 2020, the Longxing Football Stadium started construction. On November 13, 2020, the construction of the main structure officially started.
