Look Like Jesus-If God is Light, does He use Darkness to achieve His purpose?

Todays Question: If God is light, does He use Darkness?

I asked this question some time ago. But never got it answered. Short version is does the light like God use darkness? Longer version, I hear that we hide in darkness to feel safe. Yet God never hide in his life or so I understand. That said the night sky would be no where near as beautiful without the stars and vise versa. So the bible says God divided light and dark. But he only seems to use light. That said the 10 plagues of Egypt is the only instance where I know that God used dark at all. He created everything saw and said that it was good. So it has a purpose for good or so I think. What does the Bible say and what does everyone else think?
