Vulgar Libertarianism Explained and Criticized

I explain "vulgar libertarianism", a term coined by Kevin A. Carson to describe libertarians who support "limited" government intervention, but only when it benefits the protection of private property, business interests, and capitalism.

I explain that vulgar libertarians avoid admitting that the markets are unfree and rigged, and I explain why that fact implies that we aren't truly free to choose which businesses we work for and buy from, and that the market economy we have is not truly free either.

I also criticize vulgar libertarianism from the perspectives of mutualist anarchism and post-scarcity economics, and explain some of the monopoly privileges businesses receive, and why those privileges are the reason why that business exists and stays profitable in the first place.

Additionally, I explain how voluntary governance, self-governance, and local governance could reduce dependence on monopolistic aspects of statist governance, and reduce dependence on national and international governmental organizations, in order to solve social, economic, and especially environmental problems.
