Prepping - NHS illegally gave Google your medical files

The Royal Free NHS Trust has given without patient permission 1,600,000 medical files covering a 5 year period to Deepmind a Google owned AI Research company.

The Trust hoped to make a new app to help detect Kindney failure.

The head of NHS Data Security stated to the information commisioners office that they data was transferred with "inappropriate legal basis".

The Informatrion Comminsioners Office has now confirmed this data was provided the information to google with the relevant legal authority.

Although implementing no fines, there is potential for a class action lawsuit.
