4K Plane Spotting Gibraltar; Failed Landing Attempt and a Visit from RAF A400 Extreme Airport

Plane Spotting at Gibraltar International Airport. Great close up 4K video. Gibraltar is one of the world's most dangerous and unique passenger airports!

Today was a test of that extreme airport as BA492 had a failed landing attempt and had to perform a go around. We also got a special visit by RAF A400 which was amazing to see up close!!!

I love how these planes land on a tarmac that is surrounded on all sides by water. This is a must watch to see how close to the water these planes land and take off. There are very few airports in the world like this, that could support commercial airline jets to land and take off under such extreme conditions.

Gibraltar is one of the most dangerous airports in the world because the runway is short, it is surrounded by water on both ends of the tarmac, an international highway bisects the tarmac with cars, bikes and people on foot crossing. The weather caused by the Strait of Gibraltar can lead to brutal crosswinds. The pilots who land here have to be very qualified. Flights to Gibraltar are currently only from the United Kingdom because Gibraltar International Airport is technically a military airport not a civilian one.
