Transparency: PA County Sets Date To Recount 2020 Votes On Jan 9th

In response to growing public demand for government officials to be transparent about how they handled the election, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, will perform a recount of the results of the 2020 presidential election. The decision was taken by the county commissioners in response to a petition with 5,000 signatures asking for a recount, according to the Epoch Times.

According to officials, the bulk of the petition was a driving force behind gaining the recount because the county has about 70,000 registered voters.

In order to restore public confidence in the results of our elections, Lycoming County Director of Elections Forrest Lehman told the outlet, "that's when county commissioners decided, as the board of elections, that if there are 5,000 people who signed this petition and have this belief, then we need to hand count these ballots."

In order to establish once and for all that our voting system accurately counts the votes and that there weren't thousands of uncounted votes that were concealed by an algorithm or some other nonsense of the like, he continued, "This is not something we want to do after every election, but we need to do it once, at least."
