That’s why in rural areas or in the mountains in South America they call them indios which means Indians as they didn’t really mix with the Spaniards and they still look like native Indians.

Watered down Latins and that's only the ones with the spaniard blood because the indios are pure native indians without a trace of latin blood in them, so makes no sense to be called latino when they're of aztec or mayan descendant.
