Gratitude is sourced from grace

Psalms 103:2-5 ESV
"Praise the Lord , my soul, and forget not all his benefits— who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion, who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s."

Gratitude starts with this foundational understanding: "We don't get the punishment we deserve for our sins."

Instead, God grants us grace which gives us more than we can ever imagined. That’s true gratitude. Gratitude bursts out of an extension of God's abundant grace to us.
