There are a few roman emperors that I truly admire, and of course I will dedicate separate videos to each and everyone of them. There is for example Flavius Julianus, the last openly pagan emperor of Rome. He was a brilliant man, who realized that Christianity had subverted the old societal structure, upon which Rome was based, and tried to restore the old faith, as he knew that if he would fail, so would the fate of Rome be decided. There was Eugenius, who would restore the altar of Victory to the Curia, the senate building in Rome, after Gratian had ordered the removal of this old pagan symbol. Eugenius had the roman temples of old open once again for the last time as late as 394 AD, the old rites being performed for one last time, as if the light of Rome was to shine brightly one last time, like a radiant flame amidst the growing darkness.
