Well, some think that within the next 10 years, Quantum Computers big threat to our society… things like encrypted emails will be out the window far before bitcoin sees major threats

Others think it will be much much longer than a decade.. that the level of computing and engineering required to million X current computers is basically unimaginable given the current state. That if it even is possible.. we’re lifetimes away.

The good news is whether it is even possible to build a quantum computer this powerful or not... is that we will get a heads up before it’s a major issue.

And with that, there will be more time to work on codes that are unbreakable even by quantum computers. It’s referred to as post-quantum cryptography. Which will hopefully save Bitcoin and all cryptocurrency.
