A Service of Praise & Remembrance for Shelbie Jean Huffman Canipe

Shelbie Jean Huffman Canipe, 84, of Maiden passed away on Saturday, December 17, 2022 at her residence.

She was born April 16, 1938 in Catawba County to the late Robert Vance Huffman and Edna Lee Sigmon Huffman. Shelbie Jean was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Conover.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Glenn Canipe; son, Gary Canipe; grandsons, Taiven Canipe, Brandon Canipe, and Bryan Canipe; son-in-law, Robert Trivette; and daughter-in-law, Shirley Canipe.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 20, 2022 from 1:00 to 1:45 p.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Conover followed by a service to celebrate Shelbie Jean’s life at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Scott Johnson and Rev. Anton Lagoutine will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
