Hi and welcome! We are Douglas and Keri and we recently quit our jobs, sold everything, and in September of 2022 we took a leap of faith and moved onto our off grid homestead property in the high desert of Cochise County, Arizona. Follow along with us as we build our off grid homestead property with our two rebels, Willow & Zoey and our 16 y/o kitty, Boo.

Hey friends! Well, it’s been a week and we had a little unexpected down time and didn't get to work on the chicken tower as much as we wanted :). I (Keri) ended up in Urgent Care last week for a minor ear infection and looks like I picked up the flu while I was there (oops), so I’ve been down with the flu. Douglas just got back from traveling to Tennessee to see his sis and her husband. The weather was also pretty crummy with rain and muddy conditions and we needed to let things dry back out. We are ready to get back to work on the coop, but first we wanted to explain in a bit more detail about the off grid hyperadobe chicken coop tower and where we are going with this project.
