Mike Aquilina was born in Kingston, Pennsylvania. He graduated from Penn State University in 1985 and received the Oswald Award for Achievement in Journalism and Mass Media.

Mike lives in the suburbs of Pittsburg, Pennsylvania with his wife, Terri, and six children. Mike Aquilina works in the area of Church History, particularly in Patristics. He is the award-winning author of more than fifty books on Catholic history, doctrine, and devotion. His works have been translated into many languages. He has hosted eleven television series and several documentary films and is a frequent guest on Catholic radio. He hosts the Way of the Fathers podcast.
