Random thoughts on the pattern of Dogma

Dogmatic thinking is the real issue, not dogma. But why is it everywhere? Why did people in the church start believing that the churches are so dogmatic? Do their descriptions match reality? If not, why not? What causes people to double down on dogma?
I think the answer is scientific certainty, accuracy and precision. We trained that mode, that expectation into our society and it's deeply flawed. People being to expect accurate and precise answers, they lose symbolic abilities.
