Dr. Ann Burgess: The highly-acclaimed Netflix series “Mindhunter” based the fictional character of Dr. Wendy Carr directly off of Ann. She is currently a Boston College Professor of Nursing and is a pioneer in assessing and treating trauma victims. She and FBI special agent John Douglas developed a new type of criminal profiling of notorious serial killers years ago. John Douglas wrote about their work in his renown book, “Mindhunter: Inside the FBI’s Elite Serial Crime Unit.” His book was the basis for the fictionalized Netflix series “Mindhunter," which can still be viewed today.
