New Otaki Expressway - First drive South to North - Open for Christmas Traffic

65km North of Wellington, 15km of new expressway is open to the public, bypassing Ōtaki, the location of holiday traffic jams.

This new highway massively increases capacity into and out of Wellington, the capital of New Zealand.

The Project cost about 450 million NZ Dollars, about 300 million USD.
