Does a rotten egg smell indicate that an NAC is oxidized and no longer any good?

Dr. Liz Mumper says that a bad smell with NAC does not necessarily mean that it is no longer ok to use. Dr. Paul Marik recommends repackaging NAC into blister packs so that it is sealed and doesn’t oxidize.
