main melody sample came from a very talented loop maker on looperman. when i use someone else's sample as a starting point of a track or beat, and it ends up driving the entire theme, or vibe or mood, then i like to have the sample featured, intact, as it was created, usually playing it at least once or twice with nothing changed, totally bare, then add my own components, blend with it, then have several edits, chops, different iterations of the sample, which would be my own artistic creative twist, on the original loop maker's work.

i don't ever find it that fun or interesting or vibey to build tracks or beats using entirely pre made components, or default cookie cutter concepts. the fun comes from changing what is already there.

i believe the drums mostly in this are also a sample, and i edited it some. and added a few things.

the arpeggios i made, and all the effects and delays etc.

i made the 808 and played/programmed the drums and hats with them.

i honestly can't remember if i played the horns, i think i did. but only 99% sure. usually i know for sure but can't remember because this was a lost track, and the project file was stolen. sounds like my horns.
