Buddhist Mantra | Daimoku - Nam Myoho Rengue Kyo | Eliminate Negative Energies

The first step for those beginning Buddhist practice is to learn to recite the phrase Nam-myoho-renge-kyo. Even not understanding its meaning, armed with sincerity and conviction, these people dedicate themselves to Buddhist practice and, over time, come to acquire positive changes in life.
These changes, much more than theoretical explanations, are what validate and prove the power of Nam-myoho-renge-kyo.
Practitioners all over the world recite this same phrase following the same rhythm and pronunciation. There is no translation of the Sanskrit and Chinese characters that form Nam-myoho-renge-kyo into each of the world's existing languages.
This task is impractical due to the deep and diverse meaning of each of the characters.
Myoho-renge-kyo is the Japanese title of the Lotus Sutra, the teaching of the first historically recorded Buddha, Shakyamuni, who lived in India more than three thousand years ago.
Many ages elapsed until, in the twelfth century Japan, Nichiren Daishonin, after having deeply studied the main doctrines, came to the conclusion that the Lotus Sutra contained the deepest teaching of Shakyamuni and that the title Myoho-renge-kyo was his essence.
By placing the word Nam, which is derived from the Sanskrit Namas and means "to devote one's life", to the five characters Myoho-renge-kyo, he transformed what would be a simple title into an act of devotion to attain the supreme condition of life of Buddhahood, or enlightenment.
In this way, Nichiren Daishonin left the key to absolute happiness as a legacy for all mankind and revealed the way to conquer the human revolution.
This he did by establishing his Buddhism on April 28, 1253, reciting Nam-myoho-renge-kyo for the first time.
