In this video, I discuss:

1) The dangers of Bitcoin rehypothecation;

3) Why paper wallets are a dangerous and out-dated way of storing Bitcoin.

Rehypothecation is the practice of an exchange lending out your Bitcoin to generate yield. The big risk is that whoever borrowed the Bitcoin might run into trouble and not be willing or able to return it.

If an exchange doesn't have enough Bitcoin on hand to meet all withdrawal requests, it could be rendered insolvent. Exchange or custodian insurance coverage is almost never enough to make all customers whole.
