Fishing an East Texas lake creek for winter creek crappie with jigs, We are finding crappie on creek drops in 52 degree water. Slow swimming jigs right on the bottom. Today the key was drops near structure with fish staging between the two. We managed to keep 42 crappie and caught and released as many sandbass.

rods vary from 10 to 13 foot. We were using basspro tied jigs 1/8 oz white and chartreuse with a few coming on black.
