The Tunic achievement guide showing how to easily defeat the Scavenger boss and collect the Blue Key needed for the At the Root of the World achievement/trophy.

Slowly walk into the Scavenger Boss area. Once you can lock onto the boss, do so and back up until you are on the far side of the bridge. Then shoot the boss with your Fire Wand to start the fight and drop the bridge. Block ranged attacks and wait for the boss to lunge forward. When he does, pull him into the pit to finish the fight. Lastly, collect the Blue Key to unlock the achievement/trophy and return it to the temple.
