Testing Battery Life On Tactical Equipment

D-7 tested some of his battery powered equipment used for both Airsoft and firearms. Below is a write up:

1. Steiner OTAL-C
Battery: AA
Actual Battery Life: 6hr.
Advertised Battery Life: 5hrs

2. Surefire Scout Light
Battery: CR123
Actual Battery Life: 1.5 hr (last 10 minutes was fading fast).
Advertised Battery Life: 1hr

3. Eotech EXSPS-2
Battery: CR123
Actual Battery Life: 17hrs. (highest setting)
Advertised Battery Life: 1,000 hrs at "nominal" setting.

4.AN/AVS-7:
Battery: CR123
Actual Battery Life: 31.5hrs, after this, it became too dim to be of use.
Advertised Battery Life: AA 40hr. (I couldn't find a manual showing CR123 life).
