Making Vows, Taking Oaths, & Swearing ( Leviticus 19:12 Torah ) ~ What Constitutes a Binding Vow?

Leviticus 19:12 (AMP) ~ And you shall not swear by My name falsely, neither shall you profane the name of your Elohim. I am Yahweh. Isaiah 45:23-25 (WEB) ~ I have SWORN by Myself. The word has gone out of My mouth in righteousness, and will not be revoked, that to Me every knee shall bow, EVERY tongue shall take AN OATH. They will say of Me, ‘There is righteousness and strength only in Yahweh.’” Even to Him shall men come; and all those who raged against Him shall be disappointed (ashamed). All the offspring of Israel will be justified in Yahweh, and will rejoice! Matthew 5:37 (WEB) ~ But let your ‘Yes’ be ‘Yes’ and your ‘No’ be ‘No.’ Whatever is more than these is of the evil one. ??????

Straitway Life Bible Commentary From a Hebrew Roots Perspective For 12/28/2022. Both Yahshua ( aka Yeshua or Jesus Christ ) and James His brother seemed to have some kind of a problem with swearing and the taking of oaths. Are "all" oaths, vows, and swearing from Satan the devil? Are the Torah commands allowing for the making of oaths now considered sin in the new testament? Is it wrong and sinful for an Israelite or Christian believer in Messiah Yahshua to take an oath or make a pledge unto Yahweh God? ( Recorded From Phoenix, Arizona )

Welcome one and all, friends, and saints of the Most High YAH. We greet you in the mighty name of Yahshua Messiah ( Jesus Christ ). By keeping His Torah as the Holy Spirit leads ( honoring His commands ) and imitating the living Torah ( Christ ), we show our love for our great Elohim. God's grace given to us through our savior Yahshua does not give us license to continue practicing sin ( the breaking of His laws ). 1 John 2:3-4 reads: "And hereby we do know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments. He that says I know Him, and keeps not His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him". HalleluYAH
