Brian Peckford

Brian Peckford (Born:1942) is a Canadian politician who served 10 years as the third premier of Newfoundland from 1979 1989 with majority government and 70 percent popular vote in the general election for his district in 1975.
He was also a integral member in crafting The Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms in 1982 and is now the last living signature to the charter. The Charter is an essential part of Canada’s Constitution, democracy and is the highest law in all of Canada.
