Episode 64

Doing upgrades tot he apiary to get rid of the wasp infestation that has decimated our hives. We have fallen from 28 hives to six hives in the past 2 years. We have tried home-made traps, poison, trying to follow the wasps to their nests and destroying the nests, but all to no avail. I really am hoping that these new anti-robbing guards will be the thing that finally works. The is a picture of the cats attacking each other which is their default "begin the walk" mode, and also of the pruning which was happening on the kiwifruit vines yesterday. All the old growth has been removed, and so now we are waiting for bud break. Oh! Another interesting thing that is not in this video at all - but Callum has someone interested in running working trials on his kiwifruit counting app!!!! Super exciting. I should actually do a video about his app. he has been working on it for eight years, on and off - refining and developing it as the AI technology evolves and makes these things possible.
