Jatropha seeds

The flowering plant Jatropha curcas originates in the tropics of the Americas, most likely in Mexico and Central America, and is a member of the spurge family, Euphorbiaceae.
The tropical regions of the Americas, from Mexico to Argentina, are its ancestral home. It has expanded widely over the world's tropical and subtropical climates, where it has established itself as a naturalised or invasive species.
