It received a number of year-end honors from a range of gaming publications, critics, and award shows. Spider-Man became the fastest-selling superhero game in the US and one of the best-selling PlayStation 4 games of all time. It was also one of the fastest-selling games of the year. From October to December 2018, Spider-Man: The City that Never Sleeps, a three-part downloadable content (DLC), was published monthly. A Year's Top Game edition, together with the DLC, was released in August 2019. In November 2020, Spider-Man: Miles Morales and a remastered edition of Spider-Man for the PlayStation 5 were both released for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
